David Peters, age 65, of Florence passed away Monday, March 18, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 11:00AM-1:00PM at Eastwood Church of Christ. The service will follow at 1:00 PM; with Bro. Sonny Owens officiating. Pallbearers will be, Scott Miller, Tommy McCorkle, Frank McCorkle, NAthan McCorkle, Greg Peters, and Gene Peters. Honorary Pallbearers, Brandon McCorkle, Randy Dodson, Bert Jones and Lawrence Sledge. He was an avid golfer and Alabama fan, Reynolds Aluminum employee until 1987 and retired from Nichols Aluminum in Davenport, Iowa as a Matalurgist at University of Missourri at Rolla, Missouri School of miner. He was active in the leadership with Moline Church of Christ in Moline, IL; recently attending Eastwood Church of Christ. Survivors are Wife of 42 years, Brenda McCorkle Peters. Mother, Crystal Peters of Ettingham, IL. Children, Heather Miller (Scott) of Murphreesboro, Rachel Peters of Pheonix, Arizona. Granddaughter, Heather Dodson of Davenport, Iowa. Sister, Chrystal Ann Uptmor (Tom) of Ettingham, IL. Brother, Eugene Peters of St. Louis, MO. Three Grandchildren, Michael, Joshua and Kayla. Nieces and Nephews.
