David Paul Durham passed away peacefully at his home on Monday May 27th at age 49. David was the second son, born to James Paul Durham Jr. and Susan Sanders Durham, in Jackson TN, on June 9, 1974. He grew up in Scottsboro and attended Scottsboro City Schools.
David worked various jobs in and around Scottsboro and loved operating heavy equipment.
David played the guitar, loved sports and fishing, was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and was rarely seen without a Dr. Pepper in his hands. David proudly told everyone that his greatest accomplishments were his sons Logan Paul and Colby Dylan, who will forever honor his memory.
David maintained lifelong friendships with a group of his buddies, who all lived life to the fullest.
Sadly, David was preceded in death by his parents James and Susan, and his beloved younger brother James Paul III (JP).
His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his surviving family and friends. His children Logan and Colby, his first love Rena Fish, his brother Brad (Jenn) Durham, sisters Brandy (Wayne) Fowler, and Amber Durham (Jason), niece Libby Fowler and nephews Peyton, Brantley and Cooper Durham, and Ty Fowler.
David held a special place in his heart for his long-term partner and love LaCole Gray and her children Kaydence and Luke Nichols, and their newest granddaughter Blakelyn, who affectionately knew him as Pawpaw.
David will be remembered as a loving father, partner, brother, son and friend.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts, David. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
