David Nicholas Killgore, 43, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 29, 2024, at 8:35 PM. He was welcomed into Heaven by his sister Jessica.
David is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Monica Killgore, and his cherished children: Hannah, Christian, Maverick, Julian, Brayden, Ethan, and Reed. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Timothy and Faith Smith, his grandparents Ronald and Carole Kulesco, his aunt and uncle Len and Rhonda Dupree, his cousin Lucas Dupree, niece and nephews, Jaycee, J.R., and Jaydon, and a host of loving in laws and friends.
A passionate sports lover, David was especially devoted to Alabama football—Roll Tide! He had a remarkable ability to mentor youth through teaching and coaching, leaving a lasting impact on many lives. When he wasn’t cheering for his team or guiding students and athletes, he was creating beautiful memories with his family, memories they will hold dear.
While his family feels the profound loss of Davids presence, they take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and healed.
David’s celebration of life will take place Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at Limestone Chapel funeral home in Athens Al. The viewing will start at 12pm and will end at 2pm with the service to start immediately after.
