David Martin Mueller, also known to family and friends as “Uncle Yuk Yuk”, due to his laugh, left this world on September 21, 2024 at 4:14AM at Huntsville Hospital after a brief illness.

David was born in Urbana, Illinois. He spent his childhood in Illinois and California before moving to Pass Christian, Mississippi with his family in 1965. He graduated from St. John Catholic High School in 1969. He joined the United States Navy, serving on the submarine, Guardfish. he later transferred to the United States Army, serving in the Persian Gulf, Operation Desert Shield, desert Storm, Desert Salute and Desert Qutar. He received an honorable discharge from the military. David then graduated from the University of Southern California with high honors in HVAC Maintenance. He also obtained a degree in Military Mechanical Maintenance.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard Peter (Dick) Mueller and his mother , Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Horn Mueller, as well as his brothers Richard Henry Mueller, Brian Edward Mueller, and Michael Eugene Mueller. He is also preceded by his sister in law Aubrey Ann Camp Mueller, whom he was very found of.

David is survived by his brothers Steven George Mueller (Phyllis) of Round Rock, TX, James William Mueller (Karen) of Huntsville, AL, Phillip Allan Mueller (May) of Plano, TX, and Daniel Bennett Mueller (Linda) of Russellville, AL numerous nieces and nephews and 3 great nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Hampton Cove Funeral Home on October 5, 2024 at 10:30AM, with Father Tim Pfander of Good Shepard Catholic Church officiating. This will be a graveside service only, with Honor guard and taps presented by the Military Honor Guard.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory be directed to the Disabled American Veterans Honor Guard, a service David was extremely passionate about.
