It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of David Mark Dillard of the Mooreville/ Mantachie area who met his Creator on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 at the age of 64 years. David was born on July 7, l958, one of 17 children born to the late Baker Dillard and the late Ruby Ketcham Dillard. He grew up in Plantersville, attended Nettleton High School and began his life work as a master house painter in the building/construction business. David loved fishing, hunting, being a part of his breakfast club, and being involved with his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Susan Adkin Dillard, to whom he married March 31, l979, daughters Emily Spradlin (Jason Spradlin) of Mooreville, MS and Megan Kelso (Jackson Kelso) of Mantachie, his grandchildren, Izzy (Izarella) Spradlin, Owen Hood (Big O) , Jasper Spradlin (Jabo), Shepard Spradlin (Shep Dog), Ivy Kelso ( Sassy) and one on the way, Davy Kelso (in his honor), as well as numerous siblings, nieces and nephews, and friends.

A prayer service will be held at 5 PM Monday, January 9, 2023 in the Sadie Holland Memorial chapel at Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Troy McConnell officiating. The family will received friends after the service. The Dillard’s send a special thank you to the staff at UAB Heart and Lung transplant, ICU and Gentiva Hospice ( Ginger, Abby, Chyna, Amber, and Karen, Stevie) for their care and compassion.
