David Lowell Hamilton

David Lowell Hamilton, 87, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, March 9th.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Edinburgh, Indiana to his parents Charles C. and Orintha P. Hamilton. He worked as a tool and die mold maker, and projects manager. David also worked in the space program support industry at SCI, Astrospace Laboratories, Space Boosters, and United Technologies. Systems that he worked on included the Saturn Rocket, the Lunar Lander (his initials are on the landing pad of the moon), and the Space Shuttle Booster.

He is survived by his children, James W. Hamilton (Pamela), Cheryl Dean, and Carolyn Hamilton; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Hamilton is preceded in death by his wife, Maritiza Ann Hamilton; son, David K. Hamilton; and grandson, David W. Dean.

A Receiving of Friends will be held on Monday, March 16th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home.
