David Leroy Thacker, 61, passed away October 3, 2023, at his home in Pontotoc County, MS. He was a hard worker that had a variety of skills and owned and operated several businesses. He was very passionate about crappie fishing, deer hunting, and helping those in need with projects, etc. He was very proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music. An avid outdoorsman, he took his sons hunting and fishing while always including a related teaching lesson.
Survivors include his brother, Gary Thacker; his sister, Stacey Brown; son, Daniel Thacker (Haley); granddaughters, Caroline and Sadie Thacker; son, Brandon Thacker (Elise); grandchildren, Caden Thacker, Kaylee Thacker, Kinslee Thacker, and Dalton Robbins.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Thacker, Jr. and his mother, Mary Lynn Franks.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Kevin Wallace officiating. Visitation will begin at 1PM and continue to service time.
