David Keith Smart, 63, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at North MS Medical Center. He was a life-long resident of North Mississippi, born October 24, 1959 in Grenada, MS to the union of Samuel David Smart and Patsy Miller Smart. Keith was a mechanic employed by Compressors and Tools before retiring. He loved his family, spending time with his boys and grand boys, and his dog Yoda. He also enjoyed riding horses and fishing. Keith was a member of Shannon First Baptist Church.
A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2022 in the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Calvin Miller and Bro. David Herbert officiating. A family burial will follow at Doty Chapel with Bro. John Box officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to service time Monday, Dec. 26th only. Survivors include Keith’s mother, Patsy Smart of Nettleton; three sons, Tony Smart (Kasidi) of Hickory, Chance Smart (Summer) of Philadelphia, and Evan Smart (Katie) of Richton; two brothers, Marvin Smart of Nettleton and Brad Smart (Janet) of Shannon; sister, Karen Smart Hall (Jeff) of Flowood; four grandchildren, Payden Smart, Ransom Smart, Dalton Smart, Gage Smart, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Brenda Smart.
