David John McPhail, age 74, Haleyville, AL. passed away Friday September 30, 2022 at his home. He was born in Lockport, New York. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a retired Truck Driver, was a member of Heritage Missionary Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL. He was a member of the American Legion and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 28-4.
His visitation will be Wednesday October 5, 2022 from 12:00NOON – 1:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 1:00PM in the chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra McPhail; daughter, Valerie Jones (David); 4 sisters and 1 brother, Grace, Eileen, Margaret, Alice and Mike; 3 grandchildren, Kaitlynn Bryant (Chris), Sam Jones and Abby Jones; 2 great grandchildren, Kendyl Bryant and Isabella Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha McPhail; brother, Jim; sister, Mary; daughters, Micki and Stephanie McPhail.
