David Hubbard, 73, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Visitation for David will be Monday, June 3, 2024 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow immediately in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tanner Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery.
David was a lifelong resident of Colbert County. He was a retired truck driver with TVA, a founding member and volunteer fire fighter with the New Bethel Volunteer Fire Department for forty-two years, and a deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mattie Hubbard; step-mother, Mary Hubbard; and step-sister, Rita Smith.
David is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sheila Hubbard; children, Kevin Hubbard (Audra) and Jennifer Springer; and grandchildren, Kyra, Savanna, and James.
Members of the New Bethel Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
