It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Henry Works. He was born May 28, 1950 and passed away September 11, at the age of 74.
He was born in Gasden, Alabama into what would be the start of a big family. He grew up with five brothers and four sisters. He was a believer in the Lord and was baptized at a young age. As a teenager, David met the love of his life, Gail. They went on to build a wonderful life together for 60 years. They raised three wonderful daughters together. Mr. Works had 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren that he cherished and adored. He wasn’t just a pawpaw to his grandchildren, but he was a dad to them as well. He loved watching football and NASCAR along with taking spontaeous trips to the beach with his wife to watch the sunrise. He was a simple caring man who would do anything for those he loved. He valued family above all and will be missed dearly.
