Mr. David H. Miller, 68, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023. David was born on November 7, 1954, in Dallas, Oregon, the middle of five children. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph, his oldest brother, William, his youngest brother, Richard, and his stepfather, Roland.
David leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Mrs. Debbie Miller; their sons, David (Mary) and Patrick; grandchildren, Sophie and David; mother, Martina; brother, Ralph; sister, Mary; and several nieces and nephews.
David followed in his two older brothers’ footsteps and enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. He met his wife Debbie, of Michigan, after being stationed in Germany. The couple married in 1975 and lived in Germany for the next 20 years. After 15 years of military service, David continued serving his country as a Civilian Postal Worker in Germany. David retired in 2015 after 43 years of service and joined his wife Debbie in Huntsville where she had located for her job as a Department of the Army Civilian working on Redstone Arsenal.
David continued working after his retirement until 2021. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed Volksmarching with Debbie.
A memorial service will be held in Huntsville on June 9th. David will be interred in Oregon.
