David Glenn Lomax age 51 passed away June 11, 2016 while vacationing in Mocksville, NC.
He was born December 27, 1964 in Kaufman, TX the son of James Andrew and Peggy Jean Hill Lomax. Shortly after he graduated from high school he moved to West Tennessee and became a registered nurse and has worked at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis for over ten years. He met Maggie in 2002 and they married a few years later.
David dearly loved his wife and their three year old daughter. They often took family trips to the mountains and vacations to the Gulf Coast. David found joy in everything he did. He was a wonderful father and husband. His loss is leaving a space in our hearts that will never be filled.
David also loved hunting, fishing and riding his Harley motorcycle. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Lomax is survived by his wife, Maggie Elizabeth (Bible) Lomax of Henderson; a daughter, Sibylla Jayne Lomax of Henderson; father and mother, James Andrew and Peggy Jean Hill Lomax of Decaturville, TN and three brothers, Billy Lomax and wife Beth of Jacksonville, TX, Joe Lomax (Bridgett) of Decaturville, TN and Jerry Lomax of Longview, TX.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Thursday June 16, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Dr. Hoyt Wilson. Burial will follow in Deanburg cemetery in Chester County.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel beginning at 2:00 PM on Thursday.
