David C. Frierson, age 78, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, Tennessee, and formerly of Tuscumbia, Alabama, passed away Jan. 3, 2016.
David was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tuscumbia. A veteran of the U.S. Army and TVA, he retired from the Corps of Engineers.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Frierson; son, John David Frierson (Angelia Jones); grandchildren, JohnThomas Currie, William Kristian and Christi Elizabeth, all of Greeley, Colorado; sister, Judy Frierson Milam, of Charleston, South Carolina; nephews, C. Clifton Milam (Jacqeline) and their children, Maxwell and Mollie, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and R. Calvin Milam, of Charleston, South Carolina; and many wonderful friends and cousins.
A celebration of life will be Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at 11 a.m. at The Community Church at Tellico Village. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Family and friends will gather at Highland Memorial Cemetery at Kingston Pike and Sutherland Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee, at 2:45 p.m. for a 3 p.m. graveside service and interment.
