David Buren Hogan, 91, of Destin, Florida died Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

David was a Korean War era veteran who proudly served his country from 1951 to 1955 in the US Navy. After leaving the US Navy David joined the private sector and finished his career where he worked beside his two sons building a family business (Taos Industries, Inc) where he worked as Chief Executive Officer until he retired in 2007.

His mother Louise Kirkpatrick Hogan, father, Dewey Hogan, brother, Howell Hogan, and two sons, David Craig Hogan and Steven Patrick Hogan preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 68 years, Annie Ruth Sanderson; daughter, Julie Ann Hogan; six grandchildren; and two sisters.

The family will have a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 17th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18th in the funeral home chapel. The burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Davids’s honor to The Craig and Steven Hogan YMCA in Madison, Alabama.
