David Alton “Chub” Michael, age 66, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. The family will receive friends for visitation today from 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Billy Randolph is officiating.
To his family he was Al, a life-long resident of the Shoals area. “Sgt. Mike” was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served in the Vietnam war. David, as he was known at the Colbert Steam Plant, was retired from TVA as an electrician and was a member IBEW No. 558. David was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Paula Michael; sons, Lee Michael and wife, Whitney, and Paul Michael; sister, Jan Holland and husband, Mitch; and grandchildren, Keeton, Emarie and Ella Michael.
Pallbearers will be Billy Randolph, Jamie Randolph, Dennis Frederick, Alec Southern, Rick Nix and Danny Nix. Terry Randolph is an honorary pallbearer.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to family and friends that helped on this journey.
