Funeral service for David Alexander George, age 59, of Dellrose, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Friday at Higgins.

David was born on October 22, 1963, in Nashville, TN, to Frank Wyatt George, Jr., and Gail Marie Bradford George. Mr. George served in the US Navy for 30 years, and later worked as a rural mail carrier. David served as a Lincoln County Volunteer Fire Fighter in Dellrose, loved animals, riding his Harley, and was affectionately known as G-daddy to his grandchildren. G-daddy loved his family dearly and always had time to spend with his children and grandchildren. He was always up for a good card game, drinking Purity chocolate milk, and eating popcorn. Mr. George was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church in Ardmore, AL. David passed away on August 25, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

David is survived by his Parents, Frank and Gail Bradford George; daughters, Anna (Kenny) Owens, Elizabeth (Travis) Burdette, Sarah George, and Rebekah George; grandchildren, Landen George, Lilly Owens, Levi Owens, Jaxon Raby, Skylar Raby, Abigail Burdette, Lane Raby, Abram Burdette, Sampson Burdette, and Shiloh Burdette; and a brother, Russell (Lynne) George. Mr. George was preceded in death by a son, David Alexander George, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Silas Leonard Bradford and Mary Elizabeth Bradford; and his paternal grandparents, Frank Wyatt George, Sr. and Mary Helen George.
