David Alan Hoffmeister, age 60 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at St. Michaels Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on May 7, 1963, in McMinnville. He was currently employed at Tepro and had formerly worked at Charlotte Piping in Alabama. A member of Brothers of the Wheel, David enjoyed riding motorcycles in his spare time. He also enjoyed rail buggy and off-road riding, vegetable gardening, HAM radios, charity work, and working on anything mechanical. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. David will be remembered for his caring and generous personality….he truly was a wonderful man. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Hoffmeister; brother, Philip Hoffmeister; uncles, Sammy Bowling, Edward Bowling, and John Hoffmeister. David is survived by his son, Chris (Tina) Hoffmeister; daughter-in-law, Heather Hoffmeister; grandchildren, Christopher Jr, John, Alex, Taylor, and Samantha; parents, Faye (Joe) Carter and David P. (Pam) Hoffmeister; siblings, Dianna (Steve) Sheely, Gregory (Sandy) Hoffmeister, Trent (Gail) Hoffmeister, and Hayley (Austin) Green; fiancé, Lynn Morgan; sister-in-law, Shannon Hoffmeister; uncle, Bobby Hoffmeister; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Winchester First United Methodist Church.
