Daughters of the DAR dedicate a monument in honor of Chickasaw Chief George Colbert

COLBERT COUNTY-The Chief Colbert Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will dedicate a monument in honor of Chickasaw Chief George Colbert, for whom the chapter is named, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at Colbert Ferry Park on the Natchez Trace Parkway north of Cherokee.  The monument will be placed near the new visitor center at the park where Chief Colbert lived and operated a ferry.
