Mrs Coker was a native of Lauderdale Co, AL, Greenhill, AL She was born in the Central Community to the late Chester and vertie Darby Bevis a homemaker and a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ.She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, she never met a stranger she was a member of of the Lauderdale County Cattlewomen Associations, United daughters of the Confederacy, Stepping Stones, Lauderdale County farmers Federation womens Committee, House parent at the North Alabama Christian Childrens Home and beloved caregiver for many children in the Greenhill Community.The family will receive friends on Monday march 9, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Loretto Memorial Chapel. the Funeral will be Tuesday march 10, 2015 at Shiloh Church of Christ at 2:00 Pm with Tommy Goldman and Chris Moran officiating with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Mrs Coker will lie in state from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM At The Church on Tuesday march 10, 2015.She is survived by her husband of 69 Years, Columbus Arthur Coker (C.A.); a daughter, Nancy (Otis) Dickerson;Son, Arthur “Tommy” Coker;grandchildren, Dr Adam (Jennifer) Dickerson, Molly Dickerson, and Aron Dickerson; great grandchildren Braxton & Sydney Dickerson,brother Bill (Madeline) Bevis, Brother-in-law Alexander Matelewich.She was preceded in death byher son, Steve Coker; sisters, Georgie (Ellis) Grimes, Annie Ruth (Theron) dawson, and Esther Lee Matelewich (Everett May). Pallbeares will be nephews T.C. Dawson, Jr, Jimmy may, Kenneth May, Danny Bevis,Mike Bevis and jerry Bevis. Special thanks are extended to the nurses and staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. Other expressions of love may be made to the North Alabama Christian Childrens Home
