Darryl Long, 59, of Iuka, MS, died on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Region One Health Medical Center in Memphis. He graduated from Iuka High School in 1982 and furthered his education at Ole Miss where he graduated with a pharmacy degree. Darryl was a pharmacist by trade for over 30 years, working at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital and the Iuka Hospital. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, especially watching his children play sports and other activities, and was actively involved in studying his families geneology. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Long; his children, Abigail Long, Dillon Long, and Garett Long; his father, Fred Long; his siblings, Stevie Long (Dodi) and Jana Long Bormann (Jason); his nieces and nephews, Logan Long (Cari), Lauren Long, and Avery Dawson; and his great-nephews, Davis Long and Dexter Long. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Long. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. Steve Kennedy. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Logan Long, Jason Bormann, John Evans, Jake Evans, Johnny Sricklen, and Layne Harris. Donations may be made in Darryl’s honor to the American Kidney Foundation.
