Danny William StidhamDanny William Stidham 70, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away January 09,2023, surrounded by his family. Danny was born to Delma Louise “Tiny” and William Edgar Stidham ”Bunk” on August 01, 1953, in Cullman County, Alabama.

Danny was a class of 1971 Albertville Highschool graduate. As a Machinist he worked with Speed Ring, Charter Oil in Pasadena, Texas and Zero Bullet when returning to Cullman. He retired from Auto Zone after many years as a Commercial Specialist.

Danny was an avid collector, grill master, talented cook, skillful gardener, found special interest in history and profoundly knowledgeable in all things who could give even Ken Jennings serious competition. Danny could find joy in the mountains or the beach. Great memories were made while riding his Harley-Davidson in the Smokey Mountains in his earlier years with his uncles Jerrell, Walter and Vernon Smith. Danny was known to be witty with great comedic timing. He still had the very best smile and humor till the end. He was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

Though Danny was talented at many things perhaps his best roles was that of a husband, father and Paw Paw. Danny was a loving, devoted husband to his love Martha Stidham. He was a strong, dependable father who never missed a daily call or text to his daughters to let them know they were loved. As a Paw Paw he was affectionate and kind to his grandchildren who will miss him for a lifetime. Danny let his love be known every single day and proved it whole heartedly during his final days.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents Delma Louise “Tiny” and William Edgar Stidham”Bunk”.

He is survived by his wife Martha Stidham, children Meredith (Ryan) Hays, Erin (Taylor) Davis, grandchildren Allison Stidham, Aiden Hays, Ella Davis, Kadance Davis and Maci Rae Hays, sisters Rhonda Leathers, Renay Brock, beloved baby sister Leeann Stidham-Newell, Uncle Jerrell and Aunt Kay Smith, aunt Dorris Smith and Leanese Smith, and a host of nieces and nephews and Coparents Crystal and Ken Phillips.

The family extends a thank you to the staff at UAB and a deep appreciation to his new found “Bestie” Brittany Prater, MSN RN.
