Danny Ray Smith, age 65, of Huntsville, Al passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at a local hospital. He was the owner and operator of Dan’s Appliance Repair and a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons Danny R Smith Jr. (Lisa) and Kevin Barrett Smith (Angela Meeks); daughter Jennifer Martin; brothers Jimmy Rogers, Tony Smith and James Bell Smith; sisters Brenda Faye Phillips, Barbara Kirkland, Carrie Sue Smith, Dorothy Naylor, Cathy Dawson, Rhonda Morrison, Donna Tidwell and Lisa Lipscomb; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at Hampton Cove Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2 pm also at Hampton Cove Funeral Home with Harold Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dan Smith Memorial Fund at Redstone Federal Credit Union.
