Danny Seat Danny Ray Seat was born July 11, 1956 in Union City Tennessee the son of Mary Ann Hendricks and the late William Harris “Pete” Seat.

Danny grew up and went to school in Newbern Tennessee. He played football and was a member of the marching band. He was proud to be a Dyer County Choctaw. He graduated in 1974 where he had many friends that he still kept in contact with all through the years after he moved to Adamsville in his early thirties. He liked to come back to Newbern to visit and hunt with his friends when he had a chance.

He worked hard all of his life even traveling out of state at times. The work he enjoyed the most was the work that he did at home. His first adventure was raising and selling fishing worms to bait shops. His dad helped him and this came to be a time that Danny really cherished because he was able to spend time with his dad. Another of his ventures was raising and selling quail with the help of his daughters, Felicia and Shanna. He would raise up to 40,000 quail a year and sell them to the State and different hunting groups. He raised baby chicks, cows, and hogs. His other daughters were grown but his youngest daughter Gracy would help him when she got out of school. His latest venture was catching skip jack fish and selling them to fish houses or bait shops.

Danny did not sugarcoat anything. He would tell you what was on his mind. It may have made some people mad but that was not his intention. If you knew him, well, you knew that was just the way Danny was. He had many friends from all the places he lived and worked. He will be greatly missed in his community and by all his family and friends.

Danny departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, October 25, 2021 in Jackson Tennessee at the age of 65 years old. He is survived by his mother Mary Ann Seat of Adamsville; his wife of 22 years Cathy Wilson Seat of Adamsville Tennessee; a daughter Felicia Seat McDonald (Raemonn) of Selmer; Shanna Kildare (Dennis) of Anderson, Texas; and Gracy Seat of Adamsville; grandchildren, Austin, Avery, RubyeRea, Lily, Luke, Lyla, Luxe, and Linkon; and sister, Diane Blankenship and her husband David of Adamsville.

In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Lynn Seat.
