Danny "Peanut" Ray HolcombDanny Ray “Peanut” Holcomb, 68, passed away April 9, 2024, at NMMC-Pontotoc. He was born in Pontotoc, went to Algoma High School, and was in the first graduating class at South Pontotoc High School. He worked for years with Maharey Houston, and then Phillips Contracting. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed Nascar and rodeos.
Survivors include his wife, Kellie; two daughters, Kimberlie and Ginny; son, Danny Ray Holcomb, Jr. (Sahara); almost adopted daughter, Georgi Hollings (Dolan); brother, Randall; nephews, Randy (Crystal), Ben (Marien), and Michael all of Pontotoc; and two very special friends, Steve Henderson and Terry Holcomb.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nettie Lee and father, Herman Willis Holcomb; several aunts, uncles, and nephews; and very special friends, Shelby Henderson and Terry G. Holder.
Services will be Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11AM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Rev. Joe Montgomery and William Carter officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 11th 5-8PM at the funeral home and Friday, April 12th 10AM until service time. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Terry Holcomb, Bill Carter, Jr., William Holcomb, Steve Henderson, Randy Holcomb, Ben Holcomb, and Michael Holcomb.
