Danny Ray Hillhouse Profile PhotoDanny Ray Hillhouse, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at his home in Pontotoc, MS on April 6, 2024. He was born on February 16, 1950, in Lafayette County. Throughout his life, Danny pursued a career as a Factory Supervisor and found joy in various hobbies including hunting, fishing, camping, playing the guitar, and listening to 70’s music. He especially cherished moments spent riding his mower and was known for his wise and comforting counsel.

Danny’s warm and caring nature extended to his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Janie Hillhouse, daughters Veronica (Jammie Franklin) and Christy Baker, grandchildren Tucker Dees, Tayler Dees, Haden Franklin, Drake Franklin, Brayden Robbins, Madison Burks, Morgan Burks, as well as great-grandchildren Oakleigh Kate Corley and Levi Tate Dees. In his journey through life, Danny found support and companionship in his sister Barbara Brown.

He was preceded in death by his mother Opal McCain and father Loyd Hillhouse Sr. and by his brother Loyd Hillhouse Jr.
Pallbearers will be Jammie Franklin, Tucker Dees, Brayden Robbins, Naamon Young, Wayne Hulsey, Royce Grose and David Blackard.

Services honoring Danny’s legacy will take place on Saturday, April 13th at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany. The visitation will be from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM. A Graveside Service will be held at Enterprise Cemetery in Myrtle at 12:00 PM. Bro. Wells will be officiating the service.

In our hearts and memories, Danny Ray Hillhouse will forever remain a beacon of love, kindness, and wisdom. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by all who knew him.
