Danny Macon Franklin, age 74, of Toney, AL died Wednesday evening, April 10, 2024. He had been in Compassus Hospice Care at Diversicare of Arab since September 2023. He is now free of all Parkinson’s pain/issues and can explore Heaven’s fishing holes, play his guitar, discuss Bama football games since Bear Bryant, crack jokes and enjoy being with his Franklin/Pamplin family that went before him.

Danny was a son of Bill & Inez Franklin of Huntsville, AL. He ran track at Butler High School Class of 1968. He served 12 years in the service of our country; USAF eight years, US Navy four years. He had multiple tours in Vietnam. He had a deep love for God, family and country.

Surviving family: Brothers Tony Franklin/Debbie of Flora, MS, and Michael Franklin/Teresa of Readyville, TN; Sister Sandy Franklin Cates/John) of Harvest, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Inez Franklin, and his brother, Phillip Franklin. Danny had many beloved nephews and nieces.

Danny’s Celebration of Life service will be held at Huntsville Christian Church, 171 Indian Creek Road, Huntsville, AL 35806 on Saturday, May 4th, 2024:
1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. ~ Visitation with family
2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ~ Celebration of Life Service
3:30 p.m. ~ Graveside Service & Internment at Huntsville Memory Gardens, 6810 University Drive/HWY 72, Huntsville, AL 35806.
