Danny Lyn Alexander born on July 6,1952, passed away at his home October 19,2024.
The youngest of four children born to the late Roscoe Alexander Sr. and Irene Todd Alexander.
As a young boy growing up in Toccopola, when he wasn’t in school, Danny enjoyed camping and riding bikes with neighborhood friends. Danny fondly recalled the snow-covered Christmas, his brother Todd, and himself received new bikes, and their mother brought them to downtown Toccopola just to try them out.
After school, Danny worked several jobs from factories, construction , and forestry to becoming a Volkswagen mechanic. Then, later opening and running his own business, Rebel Rebuilders for many years in Oxford, MS.
During this time, he met Debbie Palmer, and they married in 1977. Together, they have two children, Chris and Jessica, along with a lifetime of memories .
Later in life, Danny enjoyed hobbies of painting, making birdhouses woodburning and spending time with his grandchildren. Being a papaw was his greatest joy. Telling the kids stories being silly and pulling them around on those Sunday evening parades. Telling each one that they were the best or prettiest grandchild he had, all just in time for a nap.
A husband ,father, and a papaw that will be greatly missed .
A seat that will forever be noticeably empty.
Danny leaves behind his wife of almost 47 years, Debbie. A son Chris Alexander (Brittany), a daughter Jessica Alexander, and one sister Kay Winter.
Six grandchildren: Anna Cooper (Chris), Sean Dobbs (Nataleigh),Emma Strevel (J.D.), Ringo Ridling, Ava, and Elsie Alexander.
Four great grandchildren: Hudson Dobbs, Xander and Azalea Cooper, and Julia Strevel ,a special nephew, Jon Alexander, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Danny is proceeded in death by his parents Roscoe Sr and Irene Alexander and two brothers Roscoe (Junior) Alexander and Todd Alexander.
Private family service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
