Danny Lee Taylor, age 73 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on March 31, 1947 to the late Dan and Helen Mae (Spencer) Taylor. Danny was a graduate of Franklin County High School and served in the Army National Guard Reserve. Before his retirement, he had been employed for thirty-three years as an appraiser with the State of Tennessee Property Division. Danny had been a devoted member of Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over sixty years. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Taylor of Winchester; children, April (Ronnie) Norris of Winchester, Rob (Andria) Taylor of Winchester, and Jenny (Matt) Hodges of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Caleb Norris, Kylee Norris, Cole Norris, Collin Taylor, Addison Taylor, and Hadleigh Hodges; siblings, Linda (Billy) Waggoner of Estill Springs, Billy (Mary) Taylor of Winchester, and Nancy (Wayne) Horton of Estill Springs; and a host of nieces and nephews. Private Family Services are planned with burial at Harmony Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Harmony Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Franklin County Humane Society, or Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association.
