Danny Joe “Crow” Chapman, 64, passed away January 2, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. Danny was born on January 6, 1959, in Vardaman, MS to Toney E. and Ruby Lavon Walls Chapman. He grew up in Houlka, MS and was a member of Robbs Primitive Baptist Church. An avid domino player, Danny had played in the World Domino Championship on several occasions.
Survivors include his siblings, Larry Ferguson(Cathie), Brenda Villarreal(Soapy), Regenia Morgan(David), Glen Allan, Nancy Bray, Judy Alexander, Cynthia Owen, and Rena Brown(Tim); and his brother-in-law, Leon Morris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Martha Jo Owen and Pam Morris; and his brother, Tony Chapman, Jr.
Services will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Tim Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 12PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Shane Huffman, Brent Huffman, Cory Villarreal, Matt Brown, Shan Russell, and Ty Russell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy McDaniel, Bud Gordon, Keith Havens, Earl David Moorman, Randy Aron, and Roger Griffin.
