Funeral service for Danny Carl Vest age 66 of Hartselle will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00am at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating with burial with Military Honors at the Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Vest, who died on Monday, April 25, 2016 at NHC in Moulton, was born March 16, 1950 in Phoenix City, Alabama. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a E-7 SGT First Class after 26 years of service as a member of the 87th Division of the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from the Huntsville City School System where he worked with the Vocational Department and the DARE Program. He was a big Alabama fan and enjoyed fishing with his brothers. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities and events. He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle. He was preceded in death by his father; Carl Vest and a sister; Carol Vest.
