Daniel Witt Sullivan, Sr., 85, died Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born November 12, 1938, to Adrian Earl Sullivan and Elizabeth Beulah Witt Sullivan. He was raised in the Birmingham Ridge Community. After Saltillo High School graduation, Dan earned his Political Science Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. He farmed for over 20 years beans and cattle and also was a truck driver for 20 years before ultimately retiring. Dan enjoyed model trains, and anything steam train related. He was a generous soul that enjoyed having a good time. He always enjoyed his morning coffee with friends at the West Main Hardees.
Dan is survived his one son, Witt Sullivan of Saltillo; Witt’s mother, Frances Sullivan; three grandchildren, Sean Darby Sullivan, Abram Nathanial Sullivan, and Nadia Elizabeth Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Adrian Sullivan; and aunt, Hilva Sullivan Lawson.
A memorial services honoring Dan’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024.
