Daniel Warrington McCauley Jr. age 73, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on November 22, at home. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 at Maple Hill Cemetery led by Rev John Tanner of Cove Church.
Daniel was born April 19, 1951, to Dan and Hannah McCauley in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a master’s in engineering at Oklahoma State University, served in the Army, worked with the Corp of Engineers, SMDC and several civilian companies. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and his hobby farm.
Loved ones left to remember him are his wife of 50 years, Chris; sons, Daniel and wife, Jaclyn of Huntsville, Alabama and Andrew and wife, Holly of Lexington, Kentucky; daughter, Emily and partner, Kevin Johnson of Huntsville, Alabama; sister, Dannah McCauley of Huntsville, Alabama; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Haley, Jenna, Bryce and Nora. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Hannah, his daughter, Gabrielle, and grandson, MJ.
