Daniel Marcus “Danny” Patterson, 69, passed away on September 18, 2024, in Tupelo, MS with his family by his side. He was born on December 8, 1954, to Raymond and Magalene Munlin Patterson and married the love of his life, Brenda Patterson, on November 4, 1978. Danny was a much-loved husband, father, Pepaw, son and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a truck driver for many years and known as “Shorty.” Danny was a Christian and a member of Palestine Church.
Survivors include his son, Don Craig Patterson (Monica) and Courtney Rackley (Jason); his grandchildren, Cody Patterson (Mandy), Mallorie Nix (Chandler), Garrett Patterson, Hailey Rackley, Addison Patterson, Alex McDonald (Bailey), Mallory McDonald, and Farrah McDonald; his great-grandchildren, Lilly, Bentley, Evie Blair, Kali, Remi, and Scarlet; his mother, Magalene Patterson; his siblings, Laura Inmon (Butch), Don Patterson (Sandy), and Clifford Patterson (Debbie); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Patterson; his father, Raymond Patterson; his siblings, Dianne Patterson and Sidney Patterson; and his parent in-laws, Ralph and Geneva Robertson.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11AM to 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. The service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Rob Bennett and Bro. Corey Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Patterson, Garrett Patterson, Rusty Patterson, Philip Mitchell, Justin Putt, Bo Robertson, Roger “Bigboy” Pettit, Nathan Pettit, Doug White, and Wyatt Underwood.
