Daniel Eugene Hamm, 63, passed away February 14, 2023. He was a siding installer. He enjoyed most of his time with his grandchildren and family. Daniel loved camping, fishing, NASCAR and Auburn football. If you knew him, you know he was truly one of a kind; you could always count on him to bring you laughter. He will be loved and missed by so many.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will follow at Greenview Funeral Home chapel at 4:00 p.m. Officiating will be Larry Burbank and Greg Beasley.

Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Hamm; sister, Martha Scott; brothers Butch and Phillip Hamm.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kay Hamm; daughter, Chrystyl (Eric) Smith; grandchildren, Gunner and Makenzie Smith; sisters, Linda Holden, Judy Tidwell, Renee Hamm; brothers, Sammy (Cathy) Hamm, Greg (Trish) Hamm, Gerald Hamm and Wayne Hamm; sister-in-law, Ruth (Charles) Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in his memory to Colbert County EMA Search and Rescue, Alabama Marine Patrol Division at 1830 Constellation Avenue, Alpine, AL 35016 or ALEA.gov, Christian Aid Ministries, Daphne Search and Rescue at P.O. Box 41, Daphne, AL 36526, Florence/Lauderdale Search and Rescue, Alabama Law Enforcement, Alabama Fire, and any other agencies who helped in the recovery of Mr. Hamm.
