Daniel Wood Profile Photo Daniel DeWite Wood, 85, of Town Creek, formerly of Wabash, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at his home. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date. Lawrence Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on November 10, 1938 to the late Merideth and Mary Clark Wood, Daniel graduated from Roann High School in Roann, Indiana. He then earned his Associates Degree from Porter Business College in Indianapolis, Indiana. Daniel retired from General Tire and RUbber Company after 35 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, mainly fishing and trapping. Daniel was also a woodworker and made furniture for his family. Remembered for his big contagious laugh that made everyone around laugh as well, Daniel was known to his family and friends as “Boonie”.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Nancy Wood; son, Jeffrey (Scott Beasley) Wood; grandchildren, Anastasia Wood, Keghlea Wood, and Vera Wood-Beasley; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; sons, John Wood, Roger Wood, and Richard Wood; and sisters, Patricia Hopper, and Jeanie Cox.
