Daniel “Danny” Howard Whisenant was born in Huntsville AL on April 27,1989, and was a proud Alabama Native. He is survived by his wife, Natsuki Tani Whisenant, parents, Douglas Howard and Lynn McMeans Whisenant, sisters Pam Bailey (Greg) and Christina Wright (Shawn), and his niece and nephews, Ronin Carroll, Danica Carroll, and Ryker Bailey. He was a proud father of 3, soon to be 4, furbabies – his dogs, Argus, Olive, Obi, and new foster, Wal-Mart. His extended family including loving in-laws, aunts, Debbie Taylor (Mike), Patricia Bregard, Carol Solberger (Jack), Shirley Simchik (Paul), and cousins, and friends are vast, as is evidenced by the love he showed all.

Danny was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps and was part of the Kilo Battery 2/14 4th Marine Division, which was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 where he faithfully served until his honorable discharge in 2014. He was Motor T Chief, Platoon Sergeant, and Sergeant. Always proud of his service, he continued to help and honor his fellow veterans in his work as a mortgage loan officer at Mortgage Right in Huntsville, which is Veteran owned and operated.

Many know Danny from his years of coaching and training as a part owner of Triad Martial Arts. His desire to help students and others learn valuable life skills, become healthier and learn discipline, honor and confidence earned him the love and respect of his peers and all that knew him.

Danny and Natsuki (Tani) were married on September 21, 2013 and always had a warm welcome for every visitor, friend or family. Laughter and hugs were the norm, and many good memories will forever be cherished by those that were around them.

Danny passed on March 2, 2022, at the age of 32, a seasoned veteran, trustworthy soul, and much loved friend. Forever remembered for the legacy of honesty, compassion, and giving, he will ever be in our hearts.

There will be an update with arrangements after they have been finalized.
