Dana Yowell of Toney, Alabama went to be the Lord on Monday. She was 74.
Dana was a faithful follower of Christ and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. For almost 50 years, she served the Lord as a pastor’s wife and as a church pianist.
She will be remembered for her faith and for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and soon-to-be great-grandmother..
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan & Betty Jack, and by her brother, Richard Jack.
Surviving family members include her husband of 53 years, Phillip Yowell;

Jennifer (Stephen) Deatrick of Kahoka, Missouri
Jeremy (Melissa) Yowell of Beckley, West Virginia
Jonathan (Carey) Yowell of Machesney Park, Illinois
Jessica (Steve) Krick of Toney, Alabama
Jordana Yowell of Pensacola, Florida
Her siblings:
Jim (Margie) Jack of Ohio
Dave (Shirley) Jack of Pennsylvania
Elsie (Ron) Frank of Ohio
Mark (Nancy) Jack of Pennsylvania
Sara (Avery) Gurnsey of Nebraska
She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, by one great-grandchild on the way, and by her sister-in-law, Cindy Jack of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow and will be in Calvary Gardens.
