Dan Williams Nash, Sr., 81, of Athens, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at his residence. He was a graduate of Huntsville High and retired from the United States Army as a Command Sergeant Major. Mr. Nash was a decorated veteran who was awarded multiple awards to include the Meritorious Service Medal.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 14th from 12 – 1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home with funeral service to follow in the chapel. The burial will be in Miller Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Willard and Theresa Williams Shelton. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Nash; children, Joan (Roger) Comer, Diana (David) Blackwood and Dan (Teri) Nash, Jr.; grandchildren, Carly (Jake), Camille, Cade, Chelsey, Victoria, and Bella; granddaughter, Ila; numerous nieces and nephews.
