Dalma Ann George, 90 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. George was born on June 25th, 1934, in Athens, to Delmer Fudge and Lula Mae Hasting Fudge.
Mrs. George is survived by her husband Gilbert George; grandchildren Amanda McNeese Thompson, Heath George, Nicole Putman (Chris), and Brooke Craig (Nathan); and great-grandchildren Owen George, Jame Putman, Austin Craig, Natalie George, Grayson Craig, Reid Putman, Lacey Thompson, Maggie Craig, and Emilee Putman; and honorary grandkids Wendy Wright, Mike Garlen, Mike Bloodworth, Amanda Pack, and many more.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Ruth Appleton; son Danny Gilbert George; sisters Lella Ruth Thrasher and Marjorie Black; and great-grandchild Jordan Leigh Putman.
Funeral services for Mrs. George will be Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Odis Duncan officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, February 1st, from 6:00-9:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath George, Owen George, Jame Putman, Reid Putman, Austin Craig, and Grayson Craig.
Mrs. George was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of Christ, and was a member of the RSVP.
