Dale Martin Fruendt – Obituary

Dale Martin Fruendt, 72, of Haleyville met his Lord Savior on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in Birmingham surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 14, 1940 in Lehighton, PA. Dale served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Then he graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics. He had numerous achievements during his life but one of his proudest was receiving his pilot licenses. Dale was a devoted Christian who loved the bus ministry and enjoyed restoration of cars, hunting, dog sled racing and breeding Huskies.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Irene Fruendt; sons, David and Angela Fruendt, Mark Fruendt, Michael and Becky Fruendt; daughter, Darlene and Dale Davis; sister, Marlene Eberts. Dale was “Pop” to 4 grandchildren, Hillary, Elizabeth, Alex, Jessica, and 1 great grandchild Macie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mable Fruendt; father-in-law, Alex Bohonos; mother-in-law, Irene Bohonos; his Uncle Harold; and cousin Tommy Fruendt.

In lieu of flowers, family request you make a donation to your organization preference in memory of Dale.
