Daisy Allene Carter Holliday, age 85, Russellville, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Burns Nursing & Rehabilitation Home.
Daisy loved gardening and enjoyed her quiet times. She took great pride at being independent and taking care of herself. She had the gift of compassion, meeting the needs of her family.
The visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 09, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Clint Busler and Bro. Bo Lloyd. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Holliday; parents, Emmett Womble Carter and Mary Modean Steel Carter; sisters, Mary Ella Carter James, Lily Beatrice Carter Young; and brother, William Edgar Carter, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her nephews, Edd Carter, Jr. (wife, Rhonda), Karl Gaston Carter (wife, LeighAnn), William & Debra James, nieces, Dean Leonard, Aleene James; great-nephews, Andrew Harris Carter, William Landon Carter; sister-in-law, Wilma Ruth Carter; and dear friend, Donnie Vandiver.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Burns Nursing Home, and the many friends who have loved and taken care of our family.
