D. Walter Sims, age 63, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away December 17, 2014 at E.C.M. Hospital. He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Sims is survived by his children, Tammy Sims (John) Brewer, David Sims, Connie Sims (Ronnie) McNatt, Barry Sims, Wanda Sims (Marvin) Landers and Jacob Sims; brothers & sisters, Henry (Gladys) Davis, Ricky (Nora Jean) Sims, Jessie (April) Sims, Glenn Sims, Voncille Brown and Dorothy Hill; grandchildren, Jamie Brewer, Joshua Bearden, Matthew Sims, Jennifer Brown, Dawson Vardaman, Ashley Overton, Adam Overton, Kaylynn Southerland, Christopher Sims and Lawanda Sims; and great grandchildren, Zach Powell, Hayli Powell & Jose Powell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter B. & Zora Pearl Sims; son, Phillip Allen Sims; and brother, Waymon Sims.
A memorial service will held at a later time.
