Cynthia T. Hunter, 59, of Collinsville, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at her home. She was born May 15, 1965 to the late James Edward Burgess and Barbara Ann Short Burgess. She was a much-loved wife, Mama, and Nanny.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Longshore Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Jimmy Hunter; children April Otinger (Kaleb) and Justin Hunter (Stacie); grandchildren Mollie Hunter, Anna Patterson, Kris Otinger, Tyler Hunter, Jaxon Hunter, Carson Alguire, Ian Warren, and Bindi Hunter; siblings Darrell Burgess, Pam Lawver (Skip), Becky Hilderbrand (Steve), Karen Hall (Tracey), and Brian Burgess (Renae).
She was preceded in death by her grandchildren Makayla E. Smith and Jayden W. Hunter and her parents.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
