Cynthia Sue Hankins, 59, passed away on Friday, November 04, 2016, at her home in Tupelo. She was born on March 31, 1957 in Tupelo, to Bob and Mary Sue Vaughn. Cynthia grew up in Verona and attended Shannon High School. She worked and co-owned Tupelo Wrecker Service for 39 years. She married the love of her life, W.A. Hankins in 1977. Her favorite pastime was cruising with her beloved granddaughter in her ’66 Chevelle, attending old car shows and going to the beach. Survivors include W.A. Hankins of Tupelo; her daughter, Andrea Hankins (Shayne Hardy) of Tupelo; her son, Andy Hankins (Kelsie) of Skyline; her very special granddaughter, Mackenzie “Mackie” Hankins; her mother, Mary Sue Vaughn of Verona; her sister, Brenda Baggett (Brad) of Verona; her nieces, Brittany (Albert), Sunnie (Mike) and Shannon (Bill); a great niece and great nephew, Nikki and William; a great-great niece and great-great nephew Stormi and Sky. She was preceded in death by her father Bob Vaughn.
Services will be 2 PM Sunday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jake Dawe officiating. Private burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be 5 – 8 Saturday and 1 – 2 Sunday. Pallbearers will be Mark Kelly, John Ivy, Phil Dawe, Bill Cody, Martin Dillard and Tommy Horton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Hankins and Bennie Hankins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House.
