Cynthia Elizabeth Mowl, age 67 of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Unity Medical Center. She was born in Winchester on May 18, 1957, to the late Jimmy Ray Smith and Jaqualine (Sanders) Smith Nunley. A graduate of MTSU, Cynthia worked as a professional clown until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Ray Smith. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Gary Mowl; aunts and uncles, Ralph (Judy) Sanders, Anita Baker, and Margaret Ellen Spencer; step-brother, Jimmy (Sarah) Nunley, and several cousins. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Monday, August 12, 2024. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Hopkins officiating.
