Cynthia Ann Mitchell, age 87, of Albertville, Alabama (formerly of Huntsville) passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. Cynthia was born April 17, 1937, in Grant, Alabama to the late Oliver Arble and Idella Franks. Mrs. Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Huntsville.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Clyde Mitchell, brothers O.A. Franks, John Freeman Franks, Charles Franks, Lawrence Franks, Roy Franks and Ray Franks, sisters Nellie Jo, Mary Hugh, Bobbie Clo Cowart, Bonnie Franks and Sally Franks.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.
Visitation for Cynthia will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Road NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be a Celebration of Life Service in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel. A reception will immediately follow services at Valhalla for family and friends.
