Curtis Wayne ThomasCurtis Wayne Thomas, age 76 of White House passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at North Crest Medical Center in Springfield. He was born July 18, 1947 in Russellville, KY to John Riley & Edna Marie Ballard Thomas. He worked as a boilermaker for the Boilermakers Union and as a supervisor for UNARCO and Electrolux. .He proudly served his country in Vietnam in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2283 and the Eagles Post #3928 in Russellville, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting, especially frogs and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnny Dale Thomas; sister, Margaret Williams. He is survived by his wife, Tina Thomas, White House, TN; step-sons, Timothy (Marilyn) Barrett, Greenbrier, TN and Steven Barrett, White House, TN; step-daughter, Stephanie Skaggs, White House, TN; brothers, Jesse (Sue) Thomas, Smithville, VA, David (Nikki) Thomas, Hawaii and Ronnie Thomas, Westmoreland, TN; sisters, Jeanette Rose and Betty (Frank) Williams, both of Russellville, KY and Barbara Craig, Cedar Hill, TN; 10 grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 6pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor B.J. Barnes officiating and with military honors. Visitation is planned for Tuesday, November 14, 2023 3PM-6PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to Austin & Bell to help with funeral expenses.
