Curtis Ray Barnes, 74, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his home in Ardmore, Alabama.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Howard Hamp Barnes and Annie L. Trusty Barnes, two sisters, Fay Cox and Janie Barnes, as well as one nephew, Brian Barnes.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Biggerstaff Barnes, one son, Chris (Amanda) Barnes, one daughter, Courtney Barnes, five brothers: Sonny Barnes, Jerry (Sandra) Barnes, Paul Barnes, Marcus (Carol) Barnes, and Ted (Angie) Barnes, four sisters: Brenda (Junior) Boatwright, Joyce (Walter) Moore, Carolyn (Tony) Thompson, Dorsey (Ronaldo) Birdsong, four grandchildren: Colton Barnes, Noah Barnes, Lea Wilbourn, and Katie Wilbourn, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Curtis lived around the Ardmore area all his life and was a member of Main Street Church of Christ.
There will be a visitation for Mr. Barnes held at Main Street Church of Christ in Ardmore, Alabama on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Chapel Service will follow the visitation at Main Street Church of Christ beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Sylone Cemetery. Bro. Rex Kilpatrick will officiate the service.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
