Curtis Devon HunterCurtis Hunter was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend who was known and loved by many.  He loved meeting and greeting anyone who came in his presence and never met a stranger.

God saw his loved one, Curtis, was tired and had fought a long battle of cancer. On the early morning of January 18 peacefully and quietly, God sent His heavenly angels to his earthly home and took him to his heavenly home for his eternal rest.

Curtis Devon Hunter was born August 2, 1943 in Tarboro, NC to Fannie Hunter Cutchins and James Hunter. He was born the fourth child of six children.

He gave his life to Christ at early age. In 1973, he united in holy matrimony to Vera and joined Mt. Nebo CME Church. There, he remained a faithful member until his death. He was an avid fisherman who loved talking about his favorite hobby any chance he could. However, his life’s passion was helping anyone in need.

Curtis was married to Vera Hunter for 50 golden years. He was the proud father of Letitia Sanders (Raymone) and Demerlyn Warren (Sharon). He was the proud grandpa of Marlon Sanders, Milam Sanders, and Ashlee Warren. He also leaves to cherish his precious memories: Sibilings: Willam Hunter, Sr. (Francis), Harold “Kemp” Hunter, Gloria Jean Harrison (Dan), and Linward Cutchins; In-laws: Sadie Ross, James Jones (Jerlene), Susie Bell (Walter), MH Jones, Carolyn Harris, and Shirley Jones;

God daughters Hilda Marie Parks and Kinkem Pina-Betts; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mildred Hunter.
